My ideal client is someone who is looking for deep relaxation, muscle release and overall balance. My approach in doing bodywork is client-oriented. I have been practicing therapeutic massage and reflexology in the Washington Metropolitan Area for the past 18 years. I have also served the community as a Registered Dietetic Technician for the past 28 years. I offer 70 min. and 90min. massage sessions. This allows me to focus on problematic areas and to connect the whole body. I believe that massage is not a luxury but a pro-active health and wellness practice. I have been receiving therapeutic massage my entire life.

I enjoy working with clients who are spiritual, who want optimum health, and who want to benefit from my expertise in both Energy Medicine (primarily Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Trauma Healing therapies) and processing through talking. Your interest is holistic and body-centered, meaning we explore links between thoughts, emotions, spiritual insight and somatic (body) responses. Somatic work is especially helpful to assist with healing anxiety, grief, illness and trauma.

I began my career in Massage Therapy in, 2000, when I graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage and earned my National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am fluent in trigger point, Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release. Clients appreciate my firm, strong touch, my intuition, and my specific knowledge of anatomy. Also, I prides myself on my ability to tune into my client's tissues and feel the minute changes that occur, enabling me to respond to the body rather than intrude on it. Each of my sessions is individually tailored to meet the client's needs.

My passion is using Eastern healing methods to enhance my clients' well-being. I was introduced to shiatsu as a college student in Tokyo while training Shotokan Karate at International Christian University. I experienced first hand how shiatsu improves flexibility, speeds recovery time and enhances performance. I studied shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute in NY, where I received my certification in 1994 and then opened my practice. My interest in Asian philosophy, language and culture underlies my shiatsu practice. It enables me to fully use my skills and knowledge to help clients heal, relax, and achieve healthier, happier lives.
