I am a naturopathic physician who works with people who have chronic complex disease. The whole person approach that is intrinsic to naturopathic medicine is ideal for managing the multifaceted presentations of chronic illness. I have a family practice which includes everyone from infants to elders, I am a member of ILADS, ISEAI, MAPS and continually work to educate myself. My goal is to help patients unravel their illness, and find a balanced and effective plan to minimize symptoms and restore health, vitality and joy.

Natural Hormone Replacement Naturopaths
What is natural hormone replacement therapy?
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) refers to the use of supplements to support the body’s natural hormone levels. It is most commonly used to treat menopausal symptoms in older women—such as hot flashes and sleep disturbances—that arise from the decline in the ovarian hormone estrogen during menopause. Estrogen replacement, typically delivered via oral medication or transdermal patches, can help alleviate these symptoms by stabilizing hormone levels. In natural HRT, “bioidentical” hormones are used, which mimic naturally occurring hormones due to their similar chemical structure, although they are typically plant-derived. Given the less regulated nature of many naturopathic supplements, including those used in natural HRT, clients should consult a qualified physician to ensure that any hormone replacement intervention is both safe and effective.
