My ideal client struggles with pollen, food or environmental allergies/sensitivities. They are limited in their ability to enjoy the out of doors or have trouble eating certain foods. I also work with illnesses that are hard to figure out. I work with lots of Lyme Disease sufferers. Treating Lyme often takes a variety of approaches and NeuroModulation Technique helps the body eliminate infection. I help people get to hike, run, garden or just play and relax breathing free, eating with pleasure and be more energetic and clear headed overall. Rather than dangerous, the world is open and welcoming. Call for a free consultation.

My practice style begins with a deep listening as a new patient describes their reason for coming in. Most conditions are some combination of physical and emotional imbalance which then manifest at the symptom level. Unraveling the underlying imbalance is the key to a long term resolution of the symptoms. Treatment may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, diet and lifestyle changes. I also like to teach patients about Chinese medicine, and their body's energetic systems through discussion and demonstration during their sessions.

I'm a passionate believer that you deserve to feel good. I know firsthand how each time life throws us off the horse, it can feel harder and harder to get back up. My biggest horse-throwing moment was a severe roll-over car accident right before I turned 18 that had me in and out of hospitals for years. Chinese medicine is what helped me back up, and because of my experience, I know it can help you too. If you are in pain or struggling in any way right now, know that I am here cheering you on for taking steps to figure out a solution.

Treat yourself to acupuncture in the comfort and privacy of your home! Stress impacts our health so much and the past 3 yrs have had a big effect on everyone – more anxiety, depression, insomnia, fatigue, weight gain & disordered eating. Acupuncture reduces the effects of stress and is deeply relaxing, restoring hormonal balance & improving sleep. It also excels at treating different types of pain & speeds up healing. I practiced in Los Angeles for 15 yrs specializing in fertility & women's health before moving to Portland in 2016. For IVF patients I provide on-site acupuncture to support your embryo transfer.

Acupuncture in Oregon - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Oregon acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.
Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into the body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.
'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.

Credentials for Oregon licensed acupuncturists?
A licensed acupuncturist in Oregon needs a minimum of two years college education and must complete three years of professional training and pass the State's approved licensing examination. The three year program includes both theory and hands-on clinical practice. Most States' professional training programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
