All people are on their own healing path, seeking health and wellness when it is appropriate for them. I enjoy working with a variety of people: avid healthy energetic types who know the benefits of alternative medicine, to those who are skeptical, uncertain and feeling they have no other options. I enjoy sharing and teaching people a new model of health & wellness. Healing isn't about fixing the symptom with a band-aid. Healing involves reducing pain and discomfort, addressing the cause, then assisting the mind/body/spirit accordingly. All aspects are addressed.
I use TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), utilizing the principles of yin/yang, and zang-fu organ system. I primarily use Dr. Tan/Master Tung treatment style for injury/pain management (distal points are typically used, rather than local points at site of injury/pain). Herbs are often recommended to enhance and support acupuncture treatments.
I strive to create an environment of calm and peace. It is important that each individual feels cared for and nurtured; it is a time for healing oneself.
