I became a Registered Dietitian because I am passionate about food, wellness, and helping others. My passion for nutrition strengthens each and every day, as I grow and gain further knowledge in the field. My name is Julien, and I am a Registered Dietitian with a masters in nutrition education. As a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and over 15 years of experience as a registered dietitian, I have implemented specialty nutrition-focused programs for weight management, bariatric surgery, women's health, cancer, congestive heart failure, lipid management, diabetes and gastrointestinal disorders. My approach for behavior modification starts with each client setting their own goals and providing motivation to achieve these goals. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with a specialization in Health Promotion at Michigan State University and my Master of Science in Dietetics from D'Youville College. My goal is to help my clients achieve their health and wellness goals while also helping them realize that eating healthy is not only optimal for living their best life, but also can be really simple and fun.

My goal is to improve my client’s health and livelihood through food alone. With the rapid increase in obesity throughout the country, more and more people are resorting to medications, quick fixes, or fad diets to resolve their associated comorbidities or get rid of excess weight, which are neither sustainable nor realistic. My goal is to minimize that quick fix approach and need for medications to manage a chronic condition, and instead create long lasting eating habits that will result in sustained weight loss, better disease management, and a longer life.
