If you are having trouble adapting to life with an autoimmune condition, you are not alone. Many look for natural options to support autoimmune conditions but expert guidance for this is not readily available in the conventional medical system. Whether you were just diagnosed or have been struggling for years, you can benefit from the support of an autoimmune wellness expert. From autoimmune friendly recipes, supportive supplements and herbs, or guidance on underlying health imbalances, I strive to help you feel your best, and in control of your health, despite autoimmunity.

You’re driven, disciplined, and used to pushing yourself but when it comes to food, it can feel overwhelming, rigid, or out of control. Maybe your relationship with food or your body is starting to impact your performance, recovery, or overall well-being. You want to fuel your body without guilt, trust your hunger again, and have the energy to show up fully in your sport and your life. You’re done with extremes and all-or-nothing thinking, and you’re looking for a more flexible, sustainable approach—one that supports both your recovery and your performance, without sacrificing either

I help people develop a new and improved relationship with food and their body. They learn how to break away from diet culture, food rules and the beliefs that have influenced the choices they make. My clients learn how to reconnect to the wisdom we were all born and blessed with of being intuitive eaters. Confidence and self doubt slowly diminish as we work together and clients are able to become mindful and conscious eaters with any food choice they make. They learn to enjoy eating again with honoring their cravings.

I specialize in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and complex gut issues that haven't responded to standard approaches. I work with people who are still struggling after trying low-FODMAP or elimination diets and who want to understand why their body isn't responding to move beyond restrictive diets and feel better. As a Registered Dietitian with a Master's in Nutrition & Functional Medicine, I look beyond food choices to assess digestion, nutrient status, and the microbiome. This is how we find the root cause and build a plan for healing.

My ideal client is someone who’s ready for real change but feels stuck. Maybe they’ve tried diets, medications, or programs before, but nothing has worked long-term. They may be struggling with weight, newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, or managing chronic issues like high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Many are overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice and just want to know what to eat — and how to stick with it. What they really need is a plan that makes sense for their life — not a generic handout or fad diet. They want support from someone who listens, simplifies the process, and keeps them accountable.

I help clients overcome common obstacles to weight loss, fix their relationship with food, and break up with dieting for good. Are you "doing the right things" to lose weight, but it's just not working? It's not you OR your lack of willpower. Traditional diet advice may work in the *very* short term, but ultimately works against your physiology leading to a sluggish metabolism and (unfortunately) weight gain. Luckily, it is possible to reverse this, then work with your body to reduce inflammation and balance your hormones, to make weight loss both achievable AND sustainable.

Gluten Free Nutritionists and Dietitians
What is a gluten-free diet?
A gluten-free diet is one that excludes all foods containing gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. This means avoiding any grains and their derivatives, which are commonly found in foods like bread, pasta, beer, baked goods, cereals, and some sauces and soups. Gluten-free alternatives include grains and starches such as rice, corn, quinoa, and potatoes.

Who is a gluten-free diet best for?
A gluten-free diet is recommended for individuals with celiac disease, which is a condition where the body's immune system attacks the lining of the small intestine when gluten is consumed. Some individuals may also experience gluten sensitivity, which means that they experience digestive system symptoms following the consumption of gluten; this varies from celiac disease, which involves the immune system, but can still be detrimental to one's quality of life. Individuals with a sensitivity to gluten will often experience symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, and diarrhea following the consumption of gluten and may similarly benefit from a gluten-free diet.

What are the benefits of a gluten-free diet?
For individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, a gluten-free diet can significantly minimize symptoms and improve overall health. By eliminating gluten, people with these conditions can avoid symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating, fatigue, and nutrient deficiencies. Additionally, a gluten-free diet can be crucial in preventing long-term complications of celiac disease, such as intestinal damage and malnutrition. However, a gluten-free diet is typically unnecessary for individuals without these conditions. In fact, whole grains like wheat, barley, and rye are rich in essential nutrients, including fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and can be part of a very healthy diet.

What foods are best for people who eat gluten-free?
People who eat gluten-free can substitute naturally gluten-free grains, such as rice, potatoes, oats, quinoa, and corn, in place of gluten-containing grain varieties. In addition, many of the foods that are essential to a balanced diet are naturally gluten-free, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and high-quality sources of protein. Including plenty of fruits and vegetables is particularly beneficial for people with celiac disease, as they contain essential vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber, which can aid in digestion and support gut health.
