I help improve blood sugar, reduce insulin resistance, reverse fatty liver markers, support weight loss, restore cycles in PCOS, and improve cholesterol and blood pressure.
You’re doing your best, yet your blood sugar is unpredictable, your weight won’t move, your energy crashes, or your cycles are irregular. You want answers, not another diet. My clients come to me when they’re struggling with insulin resistance, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, PCOS, fatty liver, or midlife metabolism and are ready for a plan that actually works. I use functional nutrition, hormone mapping, and microbiome science to find what’s driving your symptoms so you can feel better, lose weight, and finally see real, lasting results.

Still dealing with bloating, fatigue, hormone shifts, metabolic concerns, or symptoms that don’t make sense — even though you’re doing “all the right things”? I work with people who feel stuck between wanting answers and wanting something that actually fits real life. That perspective comes from experience: years spent navigating autoimmune symptoms and conflicting advice taught me that learning how to understand your body — not just manage diagnoses — is what actually helps you feel better. Today, I support people seeking clarity, relief, and sustainable support.

Why would someone want to work with me? What makes me different? I believe that each client is a person not what ails them at the time they are seeking help. Clients I treat as individuals and there is not one protocol or approach for each person. I usually see clients who have already tried mainstream medical care and are just not finding the relief they sought. They know there is more work to do however, they are possibly not being heard by their current healthcare providers or not at their optimal state of health that they know they can feel or once felt.

Nutrition counseling is always personalized for each individual because nutrition is not a one size fit all approach. I start off by factoring in both health and personal needs along with cultural preferences. My goal is to instill confidence and knowledge, so individuals can learn to navigate their health successfully. By doing this, I assist and personalize their meal plans and help establish realistic goals to improve overall nutrition needs. My goal is to help identify barriers, provide encouragement while offering simple soultions. I value simplicity because food and nutrition shouldn't be complicated.

Nutrition is powerful. It can have a positive or a negative impact on your health. Together, as a team we will develop a plan to get you eating the foods that will make you feel better (or even great). To harness the power of nutrition, we work to understand what foods are right for you. Good nutrition is not only about elimination but often about education. Many chronic diseases; diabetes, hypertension, obesity, autoimmune diseases, leaky gut, digestive and weight issues can be conquered or mitigated by your food choices. The changes you see while still enjoying delicious foods will amaze you.

I work with adolescents and adults who are hoping to build a better relationship with food and their bodies. I spent 7 years working in a facility that provided inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment for people healing from eating disorders; thus I have extensive experience helping people build skills and break down barriers so that they can reclaim their relationships with food. In my private practice, I have worked with clients who are healing from eating disorders, and those building new relationships with food having struggled with disordered eating, chronic dieting, and eating issues in general.

Cholesterol Nutritionists and Dietitians
What is cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a fat-like substance found in the blood that is essential for forming healthy cells and ensuring regular body functions. Although cholesterol often has a negative reputation, it plays a crucial role in our health. There are several types of cholesterol, including low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). The balance between these types is more important than eliminating cholesterol entirely. In general HDL is considered to be the "good" form of cholesterol, while LDL is considered to be the "bad" form associated with conditions such as cardiovascular diseases. Individuals with high levels of LDL cholesterol circulating in their blood are at an increased risk of heart attack and stroke, as a result of plaque build-up on the interior of the body's arteries.
How does diet affect cholesterol?
While many individuals with high cholesterol are prescribed medications to help lower their levels, lifestyle changes—especially dietary modifications—are considered the first line of treatment. Reducing the consumption of foods high in saturated and trans fats, such as fatty meats, cream, butter, and pastries, helps lower cholesterol. Conversely, consuming sufficient fiber, healthy fats (like those found in salmon and nuts), and low-fat proteins can help lower LDL levels and improve cardiovascular health.
What diet is best if you have high cholesterol?
In general, experts recommend a plant-based diet high in fiber, healthy fats, and lean protein as the best nutrition approach to lowering blood cholesterol levels. The "Mediterranean diet," characterized by the consumption of lots of healthy fats, vegetables, beans, and whole grains is one common diet with abundant evidence supporting its efficacy in reducing blood cholesterol levels and preventing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. The Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet is another common diet shown to reduce cholesterol levels; the DASH diet emphasizes the consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low fat dairy products with a particular focus on reducing the consumption of saturated fats. Conversely, diets that include the consumption of large amounts of protein and fats—such as the keto diet and atkins diet—are generally not recommended for those with high cholesterol levels due to the high levels of saturated and trans fats that such diets can include.
Why is it useful to see a dietitian if you have high cholesterol?
Dietitians are specifically trained to use diet modifications to manage health, so consulting a dietitian if you have high cholesterol can be greatly beneficial. They can help construct a diet that lowers cholesterol and promotes a healthier lifestyle. Dietitians can assist clients in identifying foods that are low in cholesterol and those that support overall health. They can also help hold clients accountable for their nutrition and provide resources for other lifestyle modifications that support blood cholesterol reduction, such as exercise, smoking cessation, and alcohol consumption reduction. Additionally, dietitians can assist in managing other chronic diseases often associated with high cholesterol, such as kidney conditions, diabetes, and heart disease.
