Nutrition counseling is always personalized for each individual because nutrition is not a one size fit all approach. I start off by factoring in both health and personal needs along with cultural preferences. My goal is to instill confidence and knowledge, so individuals can learn to navigate their health successfully. By doing this, I assist and personalize their meal plans and help establish realistic goals to improve overall nutrition needs. My goal is to help identify barriers, provide encouragement while offering simple soultions. I value simplicity because food and nutrition shouldn't be complicated.
My philosophy is rooted in honoring my client’s cultural preferences regardless of their background. Through years of experience, I have witnessed the effects of misinformation when it comes nutrition. One size does not fit all, but with knowledge, support, encouragement and proper resources it is possible to build a healthy relationship with food.
Every person is treated with compassion and encouragement. My passion is rooted in my own personal experiences with my family members. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how language barriers and the lack of education/resources can impact someone's health. My goal is to help provide evidence-based nutrition education.
