A preventative treatment will assess the imbalances in the person addressing such issues as stress and strengthening the immune system. I remember reading that a person gets sick first on an energetic level before manifesting any outward symptoms. An acupuncturist's task is to keep the person healthy as much as possible before getting to the symptom stage.
For the interested client I offer supplements as well as Chinese herbs through an associate in the Metuchen office and Qigong, a Chinese exercise to increase energy.
