"Using your body's ability to heal itself I will assist you in returning to optimal health. I have a very gentle, usually painless, needling technique. I can prescribe customized Chinese herbal formulas and/or make dietary recommendations if you'd like. East Asian medicine treats all health issues. No condition is too simple or too complex. I've been in practice 27 years, love what I do and love meeting, learning about, and helping others. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation."

"I believe that health is more than the absence of disease, that it is the state of optimum physical, mental, and social well being. I offer compassionate care in a relaxed environment, with nearly no pain needling technique. I uses Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as the primary techniques, but I also incorporate other modalities, such as Reiki and the Amethyst BioMat to achieve the best results. I look at the body as a whole and not just at the problem to create systemic results, resulting in balancing the entire body."

"My care is given with gentleness, empathy, and professionalism. I strive to create a treatment plan that addresses each individual’s needs and may include various modalities of Oriental Medicine, my goal is to treat not only the symptoms, but also the root of illness: restoring balance is the basis of Chinese medicine. Most importantly, I listen to patients, not rushing them and working together with them to find health and wellness solutions that fit them as an individual."

Acupuncture in Lakewood - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Lakewood acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into the body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
Credentials for Lakewood licensed acupuncturists?
A licensed acupuncturist in Lakewood needs a minimum of two years college education and must complete three years of professional training and pass the State's approved licensing examination. The three year program includes both theory and hands-on clinical practice. Most States' professional training programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
