I have been in Chinese Medical Practice since 1986 after graduating from California Acupuncture College. I then enrolled in the Doctorate program at Samra Univ. of Oriental Medicine and received my credential in August 1988. I was licensed by the NCAA until 2007 and participated in their testing & licensing program. In 1996, I had the pleasure of being part of a group to study acupuncture in a hospital setting at the XiYuan Hospital of PRC and attend the 2nd International Symposium on Medical Qi Gong. The group was present for the opening ceremonies of the first government sponsored Medical Qi Gong Academy where we also underwent a rigorous course of training. In January 2006 I completed the Acupuncture Orthopedics course given by Lerner Education and received my credential to become a Diplomate of Acupuncture Orthopedics (NBAO).

I use modern lab work along with traditional methods to identify these issues.

She is graduated from South Baylo University and received a Ph.D Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She uses RSN acupuncture method (for Nerve Entrapment Syndrome) and Dry Needling as well as traditional acupuncture technique to provide integrative care for her patients. Desiree Sterling received her Master's of Science from Pacific College of Oriental medicine (PCOM) in San Diego in 2005. She graduated from the Norwegian College of Acupuncture in 2002 and has also had formal training in Physical Therapy from Oslo, Norway. She has treated collegiate athletes at the RIMAC sports facility at UCSD in San Diego. Some of her training includes functional endocrinology, functional blood chemistry, and neuro-endocrine-immune problems.
