Her training also includes an internship at Nankai Hospital (the first hospital in China with an integrated program of eastern-western medicine), residency training in pediatric and rehabilitation, Doctoral Degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science, Master’s Degrees in Food Science from University of Arkansas and Public Health from Columbia University. She is also an adjunct faculty in Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, teaching Master’s and Doctoral level courses. She currently holds hospital privileges at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Hartford Healthcare.

He graduated from Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1984 and served as Physician, Attending Physician, and Director of the Acupuncture Department at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital for 11 years. In 1995, he received the Sino-Japanese Sasakawa Medical Scholarship to study rehabilitation medicine in Japan. Later, he earned an MD and Ph.D. in Neurology and Neuroscience from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2022. Dr. Zhao also served as a Research Fellow in Herbology and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School for 4 years.
