Over the last 30 years I’ve seen first hand that no two clients healing paths will be the same. Yet clients often share similar concerns "digestive distress, stubborn blood sugars, fatigue, brian fog, inflammation, painful joints, difficult health conditions, feeling stressed, too little time, contradictory information, and in need of meal ideas, and personalized guidance to get and stay healthy." I have also seen first hand the power of food and lifestyle to help turn back disease and heal.

Hi, I'm Beth Barnett-Boebel, and I’m here to help you get to the root of what is not working in your body and your mind. Many of you know what to eat, but often find yourself in a pattern of high motivation doing all the things, then one slip, and then it all seems to fall apart and you feel like you have failed again. This is where nutrition therapy comes in, getting through the patterns that have you stuck in the “on and off” a plan of getting healthy.

I consider how gut health, immune function, detox pathways, metabolism, and brain health interact.
My ideal clients are adults who have been dealing with ongoing health issues and feel like nothing has fully added up yet. They may struggle with digestion, fatigue, anxiety or low mood, skin issues, inflammation, or symptoms that seem to affect multiple areas of the body at once. Often, they’ve tried conventional care or standard nutrition approaches and are still looking for answers. What they want most is to understand why they feel the way they do and to work with someone who looks at the whole picture rather than treating one symptom at a time.

What is a detox diet?
A detox diet is a restrictive eating program designed to eliminate perceived "toxins" from the body and promote overall health and weight loss. Typically, it involves fasting or consuming a highly specific diet, such as only drinking juices or eating limited types of foods, for a set period. Although there are various forms of detox diets, they generally aim to cleanse the body and improve wellbeing. However, it is important to note that the scientific evidence supporting the efficacy of such diets and the idea of "toxin" elimination via dieting is very limited.

Are detox diets effective?
While there are some studies that suggest that detox diets can have positive health results, such as weight loss, improved insulin regulation, and reduced blood pressure, there are many other indications that detox diets are not effective in the long term. Often, the extreme nature of detox diets leads to initial weight loss, but that weight is often regained upon resumption of a regular diet. Therefore, while detox diets may provide some short-term success, longer-term sustainable lifestyle changes are usually emphasized by nutrition experts as a more effective mode of weight loss and health improvement.

Why do people go on a detox diet?
People often go on a detox diet primarily for weight loss and to eliminate perceived "toxins" from the body. Many believe that reducing these toxins can enhance overall health, support organ function, and boost immune system performance. Detox diets are also popular among those who have not achieved their health goals with other, less restrictive diets. The extreme nature of detox diets can be appealing to individuals seeking quick results or a dramatic change in their health routine.
