My practice focuses on helping those that have found their health beginning to decline in middle age. Often, their provider is urging them to start medications because of concerning labs. Many wonder if there is better way to improve their health through diet and lifestyle. The answer is: yes, definitely! I enjoy sharing with my clients which diet and lifestyle changes are backed by the latest research and are worth their time and effort to pursue. I patiently coach clients, with their individual needs and preferences in mind, until goals become healthy habits that stick.

Over the last 30 years I’ve seen first hand that no two clients healing paths will be the same. Yet clients often share similar concerns "digestive distress, stubborn blood sugars, fatigue, brian fog, inflammation, painful joints, difficult health conditions, feeling stressed, too little time, contradictory information, and in need of meal ideas, and personalized guidance to get and stay healthy." I have also seen first hand the power of food and lifestyle to help turn back disease and heal.

My ideal nutrition client is a motivated athlete or high-performing individual who is already training hard but isn’t getting the results they know they’re capable of. They may be hitting plateaus, struggling with recovery, or not seeing the strength, speed, or body composition changes they want. They know nutrition is the missing piece, but they don’t know how to optimize it for their specific goals. They need a structured, science-based nutrition plan that supports performance, improves recovery, and enhances consistency without disrupting their training or lifestyle. They want guidance, measurable progress, and accountability.

When was the last time food was FUN for you? If it’s been a while, I’d love to help you explore how food can be more than just necessary nourishment. Eating disorders take the social, cultural, and, frankly, the joy out of eating. My goal is to guide each client on their journey, teaching clients how to nourish themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.

“My motivation for wellness was developed over 22-year period, nurtured by my own personal experiences. While practicing as RD in Dallas area, extending my services from Pediatrics to adults, I apply holistic concepts for healing, addressing the root cause through the lens of functional nutrition. The overall combined knowledge gained as a biochemist and registered dietitian helped me to understand the core of one’s body’s healing mechanism and epigenetic approach in nutritional healing.

Vegetarian Nutritionists and Dietitians
What is a vegetarian diet?
A vegetarian diet is one that does not involve the consumption of meat and seafood. As a result, most vegetarians get their dietary protein from a variety of plant-based sources, such as nuts, tofu, beans, seeds, and whole grains. Vegetarians may also consume non-meat animal protein sources, such as eggs, cheese, and milk. Some individuals follow a vegetarian diet for health-related reasons, while others will follow it for ethical or environmental reasons.

Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a standard diet?
Because many animal meats are high in calories and saturated fats, they can contribute to health concerns like high cholesterol and hypertension. This makes a vegetarian diet an appealing alternative, especially for those with chronic health conditions such as heart disease or obesity. A vegetarian diet, which focuses on plant-based foods, often leads to lower calorie consumption overall. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who are overweight or at risk of becoming so. Additionally, a well-planned vegetarian diet can provide all the necessary nutrients, supporting overall health while helping manage weight and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

How do vegetarians get enough protein?
Vegetarians can easily consume enough protein with proper planning. Common vegetarian sources of protein include tofu, tempeh, nuts, beans, seeds, lentils, dairy products, eggs, and whole grains. People new to a vegetarian diet might find it helpful to track their protein intake initially to ensure they're getting enough. However, many vegetarians soon develop a routine where they regularly consume sufficient protein without needing to track it closely, given the current wide variety of plant-based protein options. Consulting a dietitian can also be beneficial, especially if meeting protein goals seems challenging with only plant-based sources.

When is it useful to go vegetarian?
Many people can benefit from a vegetarian diet, especially those looking to lower their risk of heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers. The health benefits of reducing or eliminating meat and increasing plant-based foods are well-documented, including improved cholesterol levels, better blood sugar control, and reduced inflammation. Nutrition professionals often stress that even cutting down on meat, without completely eliminating it, can still lead to significant health improvements. This makes a vegetarian or partially vegetarian diet an attractive option for those wanting to improve their overall health and reduce their risk of chronic conditions. Additionally, well-balanced plant-based diets are typically rich in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, which also support overall well-being and can additionally aid in weight loss or management.
