I’m an RD who specializes in sustainable weight loss for busy women and moms just like you. I’m a mom of two high energy boys and I know firsthand just how hard it can be to prioritize your needs among all the craziness going on around you. My mission is to show you that having a healthy lifestyle and reaching your nutrition and body composition goals is actually possible for you, even in your mom era! With 12+ years as an RD, I am passionate about helping you get out of your own way and sustainably lose weight without over-restrictive diets that have you cutting out all of your favorite foods, only to overeat them later.

I graduated from medical school in Beijing, and learned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from top experts in China. I have practiced TCM in Kansas City for 19 years. Beyond my proficient acupuncture skills, I am specialized in Chinese Herbology. With my profound knowledge and unique understanding of Eastern philosophy, and combining my medical background, I have lots of successful treatment cases in a variety of common and difficult disorders. These may be as common as allergies, flu, common cold, fatigue, and various pains, or as difficult as infertility, stroke, MS, or PD.

I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Licensed in Missouri and Illinois. I have a Master’s degree in Nutrition & Allied Health. I approach nutrition from a whole-person, neuro-affirming, and non-diet/weight-neutral framework. I am a Board Certified as a Health & Wellness Coach, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I have been a healthcare provider since 1995, incorporating strategies from multiple mind-body practices including Intuitive Eating, Responsive Feeding, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Interoceptive Awareness.

I view health and healing as a partnership. My specialties are Women's Health, Sports Medicine (weekend warriors to the professional athlete), Chronic disease management(including cancer support) and Pediatrics; however, I do see a wide range of patients. I do use a combination of acupuncture, customized herb therapies where applicable, as well as food therapy and lifestyle counseling. It is very important to me that my patients feel empowered to regain control of their health.
