I view health and healing as a partnership. My specialties are Women's Health, Sports Medicine (weekend warriors to the professional athlete), Chronic disease management(including cancer support) and Pediatrics; however, I do see a wide range of patients. I do use a combination of acupuncture, customized herb therapies where applicable, as well as food therapy and lifestyle counseling. It is very important to me that my patients feel empowered to regain control of their health.
My specialties are fairly diverse, in part because of my clinical background and personal interest. Prior to committing to acupuncture school, I'd intended to become a family physician or OB/GYN and eventually move back to Ghana. The necessity of understanding a wide variety of patients fueled my interests.
What I want most for my patients is to not have to use me anymore. Now that is an awesome feeling!
