Dr. Passero received his naturopathic training at one of only four nationally accredited Naturopathic Medical schools in the country. He strives to create an approach to health that uses the most up to date scientific information regarding nutrition and herbal therapy to stimulate the natural healing process within each person's body. Careful attention is placed on identifying the specific factors that contributed to a person's illness and a roadmap is designed using the best of alternative and conventional medicine to help the person reverse those factors and restore optimal health.

I graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1982 (Bachelor of Medicine) and practice acupuncture in Rockville and Bethesda, Maryland. I also do acupuncture at National Institutes of Health as a member of pain and palliative care team. My main interests have been on pain management, sport injury, inflammation (such as arthritis, tendonitis, gastrointestinal problems) and neurological diseases (essential tremor, Parkinson's disease, dementia and ADHD). I am also an immunologist researching on inflammatory and infectious diseases. I was NIH research fellow and has a Ph.D. in biochemistry (Wayne State University 1992).

My ideal client struggles with chronic dieting, disordered eating, and body image concerns, and is ready to make peace with food and find a peaceful, productive relationship with their body. My clients want to feel empowered to intuitively care for and love their bodies- without dieting or restriction. There may also be concerns such as desire for weight loss, PCOS or a missing period, or metabolic concerns such as prediabetes or elevated cholesterol. Together, we find a path toward self-love and a guilt-free food relationship while focusing on your desired health goals.
