Dr. Ciuha has a unique approach to health and disease. She practices holistic family medicine with emphasis on dermatology, women's and children's health, and digestive disorders/food sensitivities. Dr. Ciuha has a conventional medical approach to diagnosis, and she uses physical examination, clinical labs and imaging tests to identify the cause of the problem. The choice of treatment then is based on the individual patient's needs, and may include dietary and lifestyle modifications, nutritional therapies, botanical therapies, physical medicine, as well as certain prescription medications.

Rebecca is a registered dietitian, board certified sports dietitian and a personal trainer with her Bachelor's degree in dietetics and her graduate degree in exercise and sports science from Iowa State University. She also has a personal training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. Rebecca works with digestive issues, allergies, weight issues and with several athletes from various training groups - DC tri, Team Z, Team in Training, Pacers, and others. She also works closely with folks with multiple food allergies and has very extensive and personal experience in this area as well as with weight loss.

My patients are aged from 2 month-old to 91 year-old. Mostly of them feel symptom relieved, more relaxed, more energetic and healthier in general well being.

My ideal clients are women who are trying to prepare their bodies for conception. I also work with men who are trying to improve their fertility as well. Some couples are just at the start and trying to balance hormones, and some have been trying to conceive for a while with no success. I help with any condition that may lead to fertility struggles such as PCOS, endometriosis, weight management, hypothyroidism, unexplained infertility.

I look forward to assisting you in achieving your health promotion goals which may include: weight management (losing, gaining, maintaining), reducing blood pressure or cholesterol and preventing or treating diabetes. If sports nutrition is your focus, I will measure your resting metabolic rate, do a fitness assessment, and write an exercise prescription. My clients are ready to make incremental changes and learn how to sustain them. Recommendations are individualized and include what food choices, vitamin and mineral supplementation, and what types and amounts of physical activity will help you optimize your health.

Dr. Passero received his naturopathic training at one of only four nationally accredited Naturopathic Medical schools in the country. He strives to create an approach to health that uses the most up to date scientific information regarding nutrition and herbal therapy to stimulate the natural healing process within each person's body. My passion is using Eastern healing methods to enhance my clients' well-being. I was introduced to shiatsu as a college student in Tokyo while training Shotokan Karate at International Christian University. I experienced first hand how shiatsu improves flexibility, speeds recovery time and enhances performance. I studied shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute in NY, where I received my certification in 1994 and then opened my practice. My interest in Asian philosophy, language and culture underlies my shiatsu practice. It enables me to fully use my skills and knowledge to help clients heal, relax, and achieve healthier, happier lives.

Brittany has extensive experience working in the field of pediatric nutrition. She received her B.S. in dietetics, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Maryland. Brittany then went on to complete her dietetic internship from the National Institutes of Health, focusing on providing medical nutrition therapy to the pediatric population. She has served as a pediatric dietitian at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC for many years. Brittany is available to see pediatric patients in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area!
