About
I love acupuncture because it is a simple yet profound technique that gets results. I love that it can bring relief to a myriad of patients from the 16 year old athlete with a sprained ankle to the 80 year old with osteoarthritis of the knee to the pregnant mother looking for morning sickness relief. I practice gentle, effective, compassionate acupuncture based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. I tend to focus on those seeking relief from chronic and acute pain, maternity care, relief from headaches, relief from stress, and allergy relief. I also work with those who are already healthy and desire to maintain their good health.
I use a lot of meridian therapy, distal needling, and electro-acupuncture (hooking up the acupuncture needles to an electronic stimulation machine), and auricular acupuncture, including ear seeds. I occasionally do cupping. I also work with clients seeking to better their health and digestion through Chinese Dietary recommendations.
Electro-acupuncture is especially effective in both reducing the intensity of pain while you are on the treatment table and seems to help that pain relief last longer once you leave the clinic. Pregnant women favor my gentle needling techniques and find my style of acupuncture very relaxing.
