David Li began his practice in the United States in 1993. He worked in Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City as a certified surgical technologist for five years and established his clinic in Brooklyn in 1996. David Li is a New York State licensed acupuncturist and Board-certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Besides his clinic practice, David Li was a professor and taught acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the American International Acupuncture Institute. He graduated from Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1984 and served as Physician, Attending Physician, and Director of the Acupuncture Department at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital for 11 years. In 1995, he received the Sino-Japanese Sasakawa Medical Scholarship to study rehabilitation medicine in Japan. Later, he earned an MD and Ph.D. in Neurology and Neuroscience from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2022. Dr. Zhao also served as a Research Fellow in Herbology and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School for 4 years.
