I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping others reach their health goals. For over two decades, I have been practicing and teaching healthy eating habits and good nutrition. My mother suffered a stroke in 2021, which has made me even more passionate about helping people reduce the risk of heart disease or work through any struggles they may face. Jill specializes in lymphatic drainage for the treatment of lymphedema, oncology massage for adult and pediatric patients, therapeutic massage and energy healing.
Jill has extensive experience working with clients diagnosed with lymphedema, providing lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling, compression bandaging and teaching clients how to successfully manage their lymphedema independently. In addition, she has considerable experience working with patients before and after surgery (joint replacements, plastic surgery, liposuction) using lymphatic drainage to reduce bruising, swelling and pain.

Dr. Ma is a Maryland-licensed acupuncturist with a strong foundation in both traditional and modern medicine. She earned her medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1998, followed by a master’s degree in Oncology and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Peking Union Medical College.
Dr. Ma later conducted postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University combining deep scientific knowledge with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine.

I graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1982 (Bachelor of Medicine) and practice acupuncture in Rockville and Bethesda, Maryland. I also do acupuncture at National Institutes of Health as a member of pain and palliative care team. My main interests have been on pain management, sport injury, inflammation (such as arthritis, tendonitis, gastrointestinal problems) and neurological diseases (essential tremor, Parkinson's disease, dementia and ADHD). I am also an immunologist researching on inflammatory and infectious diseases. I was NIH research fellow and has a Ph.D. in biochemistry (Wayne State University 1992).
