Acupuncture is based on the idea that a patient’s pain or illness is caused by interruption to the flow of Qi (one’s life energy) in the body. Acupuncture identifies the specific points on the body that corresponds to the condition (acupuncture points) and uses special needles to stimulate those points so that the patient can regain the healthy flow of Qi. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I view any illness in the context of the whole person. My treatment goes beyond the obvious symptom to the root cause of the illness.

A licensed Acupuncturist and Registered Nurse, Laura Greenfield specializes in sports medicine, pain management, and women’s health. Laura earned a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and completed the Chinese Herbal Medicine Program from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. She meets all standards outlined by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). With this knowledge, Laura is able to combine both Eastern and Western views to create a treatment approach that is unique to each individual.
