I specifically use nutrition counseling, education, and lab testing to get to the root cause, target symptoms, and create lasting change. I believe that in order to keep habits long term, you need a strong "why", and addressing your physical, mental, and emotional health buckets will do just that. My ideal client is ready for a lifelong change.

Heather is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients to help them heal their relationship with their body and food. Do you struggle to incorporate healthy habits during busy weeks with hectic schedules? I am a Registered Dietitian at Fuel U (by SHIFT), a 12-week personalized nutrition coaching program. Through my connection with SHIFT, a concierge medical practice in River North, I have access to primary care physicians, best-in-class diagnostics (including our dual-compartment DEXA machine), and other clinical resources that aid in coaching our Fuel U clients.

I work with clients to customize a nutrition plan based on your specific goals. Be that reduce weight, lower cholesterol, improve IBS symptoms. I use a science-based approach to develop a personalized strategy that helps people meet their goals by making small, achievable changes to their existing diet as I guide them through the process. We work together to find ways to incorporate great nutrition into your lifestyle. I earned my master's degree in human nutrition from UIC in 2016 and have worked in Chicago as a licensed and registered dietitian ever since. I am currently seeing all clients via tele-health during this time.

Hi, I am Janelle Middleton, MPH, RDN, LDN. I completed my graduate course work at Loma Linda University in California and undergraduate studies at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. I have 8 years of RD experience and earned Employee of the Month in my previous clinical nutrition role. Since I would describe myself as very much a people person, naturally inquisitive, and a great listener, you can expect to feel heard and supported in our sessions. I pride myself on being empathetic and encouraging, while effectively holding you accountable to the goals YOU set for yourself.
