Being vegetarian is awesome. It can help your kidneys too, especially if you have been diagnosed with CKD. Patients often struggle to find the right diet for kidneys or are trying to make sense of 'food lists' given to them by their physician, not realizing that a renal diet is much more than a list of do's and don'ts. Timely nutrition therapy can delay or completely avoid the need for dialysis. That's huge! This is the opportunity window that many patients miss, ending up on dialysis, which in many cases, is life-long.

How can a Wilson County Nutritionist help me?
Dietitians and Nutritionists in Wilson County provide advice on good eating habits. They help you with your diet and how it affects your health. They assess nutrition needs and food patterns, plan a diet that's appropriate for your physical and dietary needs, and provide nutrition counseling, such as advice on dietary changes and menu plans. They advise on special diets for medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, food allergies, and obesity.

The word dietitian has a variant spelling 'dietician' (e.g. find a Wilson County dietician). Both spellings are correct.

About Wilson County Registered Dietitians
