For over 3 decades I have owned and operated my own private practice dedicated to helping those suffering from eating disorders and disordered eating achieve freedom. I co-founded the non-profit, Renewed/The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee in 2002 to assist family members and sufferers of eating disorders. I also have a passion for helping victims of the diet culture follow a journey toward Intuitive Eating. Medical nutrition needs are addressed through a non-diet lens. I strive to meet each client where they are and journey with them towards their individualized goals.
I collaborate with a diverse group of people, including adolescents, teenagers, and seniors, and also engage with families and individuals.I assist individuals in developing coping skills while addressing dual diagnoses, chronic relapses, eating disorders, spirituality, women's issues, prediabetes, intuitive eating, and medical nutrition therapy.
I'm dedicated to equipping and supporting professionals new to the field of eating disorder treatment. I speak at conferences, present seminars & volunteer to speak to local dietetic interns about the topic. I provide supervision to any RD who would like to pursue treating those with eating disorders by going a route not connected to becoming a CEDRD.
