In order to address disordered eating behaviors that lead to disease, it is important to understand why changing ones lifestyle can be difficult. My clients learn why they struggle to change their behavior long-term. They discover ways to improve their relationship with food through the process of food deconstruction. Many clients also require a similar method of decoding that helps them improve their body image. I also help clients with anorexia and bulimia desensitize their fear of specific foods and re-establish a healthy hunger-satiety mechanism.

I work with families and children of all ages to improve nutrition and bring joy back to meal-time for the family. Generally, parents come to see me because they (or their pediatrician) have a concern. Many parents want their toddler to eat more; others want their child to attain a healthy body weight; others are completely overwhelmed by what meal-time has become. They feel out of control and don't know where to start. Others, want to make sure their child is eating enough (or not too much), and others would love a list of the latest healthy foods to send their child to school with. I am here to help!

How can a Scotchtown Nutritionist help me?
Dietitians and Nutritionists in Scotchtown provide advice on good eating habits. They help you with your diet and how it affects your health. They assess nutrition needs and food patterns, plan a diet that's appropriate for your physical and dietary needs, and provide nutrition counseling, such as advice on dietary changes and menu plans. They advise on special diets for medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, food allergies, and obesity.

The word dietitian has a variant spelling 'dietician' (e.g. find a Scotchtown dietician). Both spellings are correct.
About Scotchtown Registered Dietitians
