I see clients who are struggling with an eating disorder or disordered eating, but underneath everything, they are typically struggling with self-worth and value. They struggle to take care of themselves and accept that they have needs. I find that what they need is to trust themselves. Trust their body cues, trust their wants, trust their intuition. They usually voice wanting to take back control of their lives and figure out how to move through life without feeling like they are constantly obsessed with food or trying to fit in. Their goals typically include dumping their disordered eating and learning to love themselves.
My approach is a mixture of nutrition therapy and psychoeducation to empower clients to eliminate self-made, societal, and relational barriers to living the life they truly want. I love using evolutionary, neuro and nutrition science, to help clients relearn the basics of eating and recognize their body's needs so they can take care of themselves adequately.
If you are feeling at a loss with your eating habits and have decided you are ready to make a change, please reach out. I am so passionate about helping those like you to build a solid ground where you can relearn how to trust body and see meaningful change in every part of your life. This is a tough road, but you are more than capable of traversing it.
