I am a Functional Nutritionist, not a dietitian. I work with clients who are dealing with long-term unresolved health issues. These are often people who have seen three to five medical doctors and are unhappy with their medications and lack of results. I use food and food-based supplements to help clients rebuild their immune system, and other organ systems that are not functioning well. I make recommendations regarding foods that may be appropriate to eliminate from one's diet, and that may be responsible for inflammatory conditions. Healthy foods, and the nutrients in them, are the basic building blocks of a healthy body.
I always consider the health of the gut in each individual and use principles from the GAPS program to repair the gut lining and improve digestion. When one's gut is repaired, health improves considerably. Then we move on to fine-tuning other issues, for example, thyroid or adrenal problems. I work with clients nationally, through video and teleconference.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, GAPS Certified Practitioner, and Hashimoto's Institute recommended Practitioner I bring clear perspective to the value of good food as it relates to a healthy body. Everything we ingest either creates health or brings disease. Learning the true value of healthy foods is important for creating a healthy, beautiful life!
