She received her bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from the University of Delaware, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She then graduated with a master’s degree in Nutrition Science from Stony Brook University. Courtney has over six years of experience working in both in-patient and out-patient nutrition settings, specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, intuitive eating. I'm Rebecca Alcosser, an anti-diet Registered Dietitian based in New York City. My practice specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders with the goal of helping you heal your relationship with food and your body. My expertise is treating people with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Orthorexia, and ARFID. I have extensive experience treating eating disorders in higher levels of care including partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programming.

I am an experienced Registered Dietitian, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, medical nutrition therapy, and general nutrition counseling. I am currently the director of the nutrition department at the NYS Psychiatric Institute, an in-patient treatment unit at Columbia University Medical Center. My philosophy is founded on the principle that being healthy does not require dieting or deprivation. I started my career in clinical nutrition with a weight loss of over 70 lbs. Since then, I have obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and am currently on the board of directors of the National Lipid Association and the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the NYU School of Medicine. My sub-specialty is weight management (loss/gain) and heart health (cholesterol, blood pressure, familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome).
