Elena is a Registered Diettian / Nutritionist with extensive experience of over 15 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and Food Science from Hunter College & City University and completed a dietetic internship program at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. She is an accredited member of the American Nutrition Academy and completed her Certificate of Training in Weight Management. I started my career in clinical nutrition with a weight loss of over 70 lbs. Since then, I have obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and am currently on the board of directors of the National Lipid Association and the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the NYU School of Medicine. My sub-specialty is weight management (loss/gain) and heart health (cholesterol, blood pressure, familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome).

My clients are people who would like to develop a better relationship with food. They may have a history of dieting or may just be confused and overwhelmed by what food to eat. Many of my clients have digestive issues, autoimmune diseases, mental health struggles, or markers of poor health and often come to me tired, overwhelmed and frustrated by the excess of contradictory nutrition information they see online and in the world at large. They would like a simple approach to nutrition and are willing to do the work of getting to the root cause of their issues.
