I teach you to manage your food like a financial manager teaches you to manage your money. All food is fair game, just how much and how often is the question. Your meal plan is a balanced meal plan and it allows you to eat at any location, home, restaurant, at friends. You have to manage your food during your life. This is what I teach you on a one-on -one consultation. I teach you the program, and give you the tools to be successful, ie. menus, snack ideas, calculations, food journal.

Jessica Cortez, MS, RD, LD is a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders. Jessica graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science. Jessica went on to complete her Master of Science in Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University. Jessica has experience working individually with clients as young as 7 years old and up to 79 years old. Jessica has a great deal of knowledge working with a variety of diagnoses including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), diabulimia and orthorexia/disordered eating.

I am a Registered Licensed Dietitian with over 28 years of clinical experience in long term care. I provide contract services to include clinical and food service operations and compliance with state and federal guidelines. My experience includes clinical management of diabetes, dialysis, pressure injuries, malnutrition, GI issues, cancer and G-tube fed patients.

My work focuses on functional nutrition and helping clients to better understand natural ways to help their bodies find balance. This can be done in various ways including nutrition and lifestyle support that looks at all areas of one's daily life including diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, simple daily detox support and focusing on a spiritual practice, which for me, as a Christian, includes time with the Lord. In 2004, Cherie completed her educational curriculum from Texas Women's University at Denton, Texas and earned her R.D., L.D. accreditation and licensure. She has worked on furthering her knowledge by working on her Masters in Nutrition degree at Texas Women's University.
