I am also a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga and Pilates Instructor as well as Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner. My clients range from those who are chronically ill and dealing with challenges such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and injuries to those who are very healthy but want to be educated on how to improve their health further. LORI R. LEE, MA, RD, CPT, CLT, Founder/Executive Director of The Wellness Center of Northwest Jersey, and Owner of LRD Nutrition Services for over 25 years, provides nutrition therapy services for all ages, utilizing advanced integrative and functional medicine protocols with a whole food nutrition focus. Her expertise in medical nutrition therapy includes treating patients with all health conditions, such as diabetes, cardiac, allergies, autoimmune disorders, cancer and weight management. As a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT), Lori specializes in Mediator Release Testing which measures food and chemical sensitivities with targeted therapy for achieving maximum outcomes effectively and with accuracy.

I started my career in clinical nutrition with a weight loss of over 70 lbs. Since then, I have obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and am currently on the board of directors of the National Lipid Association and the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the NYU School of Medicine. My sub-specialty is weight management (loss/gain) and heart health (cholesterol, blood pressure, familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome).

Why would someone want to work with me? What makes me different? I believe that each client is a person not what ails them at the time they are seeking help. Clients I treat as individuals and there is not one protocol or approach for each person. I usually see clients who have already tried mainstream medical care and are just not finding the relief they sought. They know there is more work to do however, they are possibly not being heard by their current healthcare providers or not at their optimal state of health that they know they can feel or once felt.

I have been in the field of nutrition for over 30 years. During this time, I have co-founded Denville Family Counseling with my spouse, Eric.
