Danielle understands that making fulfilling, long-lasting, and healthful decisions requires patience and a solid client-provider relationship. Change can be challenging, and you need a supportive provider to help navigate the way as you create your own path. Danielle strongly believes that being healthy means not only taking care of our physical health, but also our mental health. Danielle understands that nutrition is not “one-size-fits-all”, and she will work to help you create a personalized plan of care to help you meet your goals.

As an R.D., my philosophy is simple: to convey that all foods have a place and a purpose, to dispel all of the conflicting nutrition information, and to help families work to feed their children in a way they can feel good about. I work using evidence-based nutrition counseling methods to help parents and caregivers feed their kids in a safe and effective manor and help adults focus more on embracing food and becoming more attuned to the needs of your body.

Most of the individuals I work with are in recovery from an eating disorder, and/or looking to heal a complicated relationship with food. I find tremendous reward in the process of collaborating with my clients and helping them find a more ease with eating and confidence in their bodies. My nutrition counseling style is warm, creative and compassionate. In our work together, you can expect a non-judgmental space, invitations to unpack internalized diet culture beliefs, and tailored guidance focused on cultivating behaviors that promote genuine well-being and better quality of life around food and body.

I am a trained Registered Dietitan experienced in both the clinical and the counseling setting. I have completed the CDR certificate of training in Adult Weight Management and a Certification of Ayurveda Science, providing a unique blend of Eastern and Western diet and lifestyle guidance for over 8 years. I believe a healthy and balanced lifestyle and diet can benefit anyone and at any age. I founded the Yoga and Wellness Center Sangha Yoga Shala in 2009, serving as an urban sanctuary in Brooklyn, New York. I provide a comfortable counseling atmosphere for individuals or groups.

Brown & Medina Nutrition (formerly of Joy Bauer Nutrition) is a comprehensive private nutrition practice specializing in individual and family nutrition counseling for all ages. Our eclectic group of registered dietitians caters to the diverse needs of our patients and collectively specializes in eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, compulsive overeating), weight management, pediatric nutrition (failure to thrive, picky eaters, food allergies, epilepsy and weight control), gastrointestinal diseases (IBS, Crohn's, Colitis, reflux), diabetes, sports nutrition, pregnancy related issues & cardiovascular disease. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Jennifer completed her Dietetics Internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital and went on to specialize in adult clinical nutrition at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center and NYU Langone Health.

I started my career in clinical nutrition with a weight loss of over 70 lbs. Since then, I have obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and am currently on the board of directors of the National Lipid Association and the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the NYU School of Medicine. My sub-specialty is weight management (loss/gain) and heart health (cholesterol, blood pressure, familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome).

Megan Wolf is a New York City based Registered Dietitian. She holds a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and a Bachelors degree in Anthropology from Bates College. She believes no food is off limits, but rather there is room in your diet for all of your favorites. Simply put: eat better, feel better, live better. Megan is an avid cook, public speaker, and cookbook author. She is the author of the plant based cookbook, Great Meals with Greens and Grains.
