I'm Dr. Kent and here's my story: The truth is I'm just like you! At the age of 35 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. For the next 10 years I took my thyroid medication faithfully and yet I never felt any better. Nothing really improved. I never had enough energy, I struggled to lose weight, I had a tendency toward depression; to put it mildly I was extremely frustrated. I'd go to my doctor and tell him about my fatigue, my depression and my inability to lose weight. He'd tell me my labs looked fine; it wasn't my thyroid.

As a board certified & licensed Naturopathic Doctor (licensure held in CT because MI has not approved licensure of ND's yet) I am a world class expert in natural medicine. I am considered a general practitioner which means I can see children & adults & I will treat anything from the common cold to cancer. The goal of our relationship together is to TEACH you how to maintain the health of YOU and your family, treat your illnesses when necessary and use me as a reference when you need more guidance.

As a Naturopath, I address the same problems that medical doctors see every day in their office. However, instead of treating a patient with medications that suppress symptoms, I work to find out what is causing the undesirable conditions. By exploring your specific symptoms and body/organ/gland conditions during your consultation, much can be learned about how your body is expressing nutritional deficiencies, the need to detoxify, weakened organ/glands, sensitivity to foods, emotional issues and more. Once this is understood it is often easy to explain how and why such negative symptoms and diseases have surfaced in the body.
