Naturopathic medicine has been described as a method of treating human ailments that recognizes that all healing is dependent upon the curative force within the body. It attempts to find the underlying cause of disease, remove the cause, and assist nature's constant effort toward health. The amazing thing about the human body is its continually striving for health.

Integrative medicine brings together the best of natural and conventional approaches to restore optimal health. With a background as a registered nurse, nutritionist, licensed naturopathic doctor, and IFM Certified Practitioner, I draw from multiple disciplines to deliver comprehensive, individualized care. Many of my clients face challenges such as fatigue, hormone imbalances, digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic concerns, and stress-related disorders. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, I identify and address the underlying cause—creating a clear, personalized path toward lasting health.

How does a detoxification program work?
The process of detoxification involves the removal of “toxins” from the body in order to reduce the harm caused by these substances and improve organ functioning. The build-up of toxins is thought to be a result of the consumption of certain foods and drinks, such as alcohol, as well as due to environmental exposures, such as heavy metals like lead and mercury. A detoxification program, therefore, is a prescribed set of rules, typically surrounding nutrition, that one follows to reduce the levels of such toxins within their body. Common detoxification programs include juice cleanses, water fasting, and similar practices. However, detoxification can also simply be the abstinence of consuming certain substances; for instance, ending one's consumption of alcohol may be referred to as detoxification as well. Thus, the structure of detoxification programs can vary widely depending on the needs of the client, but they generally involve a highly structured routine to ensure compliance with the program.
