As a Naturopath, my goal is to heal the whole body rather than diagnose and treat by symptom. Therefore, my patients receive the best care when they are open to learning, discussing various forms of therapies to address concerns, and display patience for long term goals. However, I aim to meet my patient's where they are at; in other words, I give them the quality of care that they are looking for. In addition, there are many times when addressing immediate concerns are appropriate and Naturopathic Medicine can offer solutions for this as well (i.e, pain relief or infection). To address whole body wellness in addition to specific concerns, I utilize regular lab screening, nutritional counseling, lifestyle modification recommendations, pharmaceutical grade supplementation, and other drugs as needed. In addition, I am trained in Neurofeedback brain training through NeurOptimal Advanced Brain Training Systems.
During a patient visit, my primary goal is to listen. Too often I hear patients complain about feeling dismissed or ignored in medical offices, perhaps because their symptoms are too complicated, or their labs look normal. I want my patient's to feel heard, and their desires for their body respected. After listening, safe and appropriate steps are advised.
