About
Dr. Cist received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. She received her Bachelors in Science and Engineering from Princeton University. Having completed a residency at the Brain Therapeutics Medical Center, she opened and ran The Dorothea Clinic in Monarch Beach, California from 2006 until 2014. In 2022 - after 8 years of living and practicing in Santiago, Chile - she has returned to California and practices in San Clemente.
Naturopathic medicine is based on the premise that the body is designed to heal itself. If we clear the obstacles to cure (microbes, food allergies, heavy metals, destructive habits of mind and body) and give supporting nutrients, our patients' bodies do heal themselves - often, seemingly miraculously, from very serious diagnoses.
