Are you looking for answers to your health concerns? I take a holistic, functional medicine approach to identifying the root cause(s) that are driving one's condition. My approach is to find out where and why people are having roadblocks in their health and use an evidence-based approach that may include laboratory tests, diet, lifestyle, natural supplements or herbs and a referral for prescription meds when necessary to remove those obstacles and help patients regain their health. I specialize in Autoimmune conditions, Gastrointestinal conditions and Thyroid and Adrenal conditions. My mentors include Dr. Ben Lynch and Dr. Datis Kharrazian.
As a Functional Medicine practitioner, I spend time with my patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence health and complex, chronic disease. Functional Medicine addresses the whole person and looks for the underlying causes of one's health concerns.
I am a board-certified Naturopathic Physcian (ND) but NDs are not licensed in Illinois. I am in a unique position as I also hold a license as a Chiropractic Physician. This allows me to perform exams, order labs and imaging studies and there is a chance insurance will cover these studies.
