I received my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2011. Studying at BINM provided me with the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of specialty treatments, including the use of ozone, prolotherapy and IV therapies. In addition, I had the privilege of receiving formal medical training in oncology by Dr. Neil McKinney, one of the leading naturopathic doctors in naturopathic oncology. In 2012, I joined Synergy Natural Medicine Clinic in Monrovia, CA, to become a specialist in naturopathic oncology. In March, 2016, I redesigned a small clinic and we have been growing ever since!

As a naturopathic doctor, my medical training as a primary care physician had an emphasis on preventive & restorative therapies as well as nutrition. I understand both the standards of care in conventional medicine as well as the merits and drawbacks of alternative therapies. I work with patients with Lyme disease, thyroid problems, endocrine issues, autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, healthy aging, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have a family practice which includes everyone from infants to elders. My goal is to provide patients with a balanced and effective plan to minimize symptoms and restore health, vitality and joy.

Dr. Vaughn believes that it’s essential to identify and treat the root cause(s) of symptoms to allow the innate healing mechanisms inherent within the mind, body, and spirit to regain optimal function and balance. She encourages patients to engage in their care, while she strives to educate and empower patients with the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions that align with their values and lifestyle. Dr. Vaughn is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a Masters in Classical Chinese Medicine. She is also a licensed clinical laboratory scientist with an emphasis in Microbiology and stem cell therapies.

I am passionate about helping my clients find true and meaningful healing by identifying and treating the root cause of disease. I love working with individuals that want more than quick fixes and symptom management, as true healing can be a long and non-linear journey.
