I have been a practicing physician for 20 years. As a Naturopathic Doctor I specialize in musculoskeletal rehabilitation (acute and chronic joint and muscle pain), and women’s health (PMS, menopause, fatigue, insomnia, thyroid, hormones). In evaluation I use a variety of assessment tools including functional exams, labs, and imaging. I have a unique functional approach when addressing musculoskeletal pain that comes from years of training in human movement.

I have a clinical focus in women's health, environmental health, sports medicine, and mental health. I see patients for hormone management, chronic infection management, general medicine, chronic illness and autoimmune disease management, regenerative medicine, weight management programs, corrective exercise programs, therapeutic injection therapies, and craniosacral therapy. I also have a special interest in patients with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I have a passion for providing accessible medical care for under-served populations and teaching foundational lifestyle practices that promote patient empowerment.

Avana Natural Health is the home of natural medicine care for the whole family. I hold doctorate degrees in both conventional (MD) and natural medicine (ND). I am a board-certified naturopathic physician in Oregon and an active member of American Association of Naturopathic Physician. In addition, I am certified in Classical Homeopathy, Bowen technique therapy, Korean Hand Therapy, Auricular Therapy and Medicine and Advanced Ozone Therapy. I am currently licensed as naturopathic physician (ND) in both Oregon and Washington state.

Doctor Pepel is trained in both conventional medicine - 6 years medical studies in Romania, and other 6, practicing as a MD there, as well as 3.5 years of training in naturopathic medicine at NUNM- Portland, OR, and 17 years of practicing as a naturopathic doctor in OR. Her combined experience of 34 years in conventional and holistic naturopathic medical training and practice give her unique insights and approaches beyond those available to practitioners trained in only conventional or only naturopathic medicine.

A patient who would be served by me is both curious and motivated about his/her body and return to best health. I enjoy sharing what I know and creating an atmosphere of respect with some levity. You do not need to fit into the medical description of a condition for me to be able to offer care and I spend a lot of time listening to your story to better understand you and your conditions.
