James Harwood, PT, Physical Therapist in New York
My approach is based on the principles of osteopathic manual practice, and as such are tolerated by clients as young as newborn and people into their nineties. The initial visit is an hour in length an includes an extensive evaluation with some manual treatment, that may include cranial-sacral, myofascial release, visceral manipulation and/or traditional exercises/fitness strategies all specific to the client. The focus is to relieve your pain or stress and get you back to enjoying life as soon as possible.
I have found my unique approach of mixing the osteopathic manual practice that helps relieve the root causes of dysfunction along with offering a unique exercise and fitness regime to support the recovery and health of the individual works well with restoring maximal function and healthier living to my clients, young and old.
Having completed my five year program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2003, I have found that my practice continues to evolve and offer more opportunities for health to a greater array of clients. Most clients leave the office feeling less stressed and better balanced, more prepared to deal with life's challenges.
