Melody is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is a specialist in the gentle art of Japanese or Meridian style Acupuncture and Women's Health. Her background starts with a more western approach. She spent 15 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist working in Intensive care and trauma units. Prior to that, she was a researcher at NASA studying the effects of stress on the human body.
Frustration with the western medical focus on symptoms instead of cause led her to the search for a more balanced approach. That search ended at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she graduation after an intensive 4 year program with a year as an intern.
Melody's passion is learning and teaching. Her ultimate goal is to empower her patients to take an active role in rejuvenating their health.
