The conservative treatment we provide is focused on an active, hands-on, and natural approach to relieving and resolving the underlying problem(s) that cause pain and dysfunction. We often use SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) during our initial evaluation to find the underlying problem(s). In addition to making specific manual or instrument-assisted chiropractic adjustments to the spine and/or extremities, when necessary, we also utilize soft tissue work (Active Release Techniques - ART), Kinesiology Taping, Laser Therapy, ergonomic training, posture awareness, and relaxing intersegmental traction table therapies.
Pain and injury involving the body's muscles, joints and nerves are among the most common health problems that people suffer from today. One of the most successful treatment systems for resolving these conditions is Active Release Techniques (ART). Dr. Carb is a fully certified ART provider for neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
In addition to being a California-licensed Doctor of Chiropractic over 35 years, Dr. Carb is also a State Appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator for workers' compensation injuries (QME), a Certified Associate Ergonomist (CAE), an experienced Kinesiology Taping Practitioner, and author of the book "The Science of Sitting Made Simple."
