The conservative treatment we provide is focused on an active, hands-on, and natural approach to relieving and resolving the underlying problem(s) that cause pain and dysfunction. We often use SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) during our initial evaluation to find the underlying problem(s). In addition to making specific manual or instrument-assisted chiropractic adjustments to the spine and/or extremities, when necessary, we also utilize soft tissue work (Active Release Techniques - ART), Kinesiology Taping, Laser Therapy, ergonomic training, posture awareness, and relaxing intersegmental traction table therapies.

My goal is to help you achieve quick relief from your pain and then to develop a strategy to stay pain free. This would often include specific exercises, dietary recommendations, and ergonomic recommendations. My ideal patient is anyone who wants to be and stay healthy. Dr. Helen Wang D.C.received her doctorate from Palmer Chiropractic College West.She was born in China, and immigrated to the Bay Area in 1993. Dr. Wang has received extensive training in sports medicine and Sacro-Occipital Technique (a non-forceful chiropractic adjusting technique) and is a certified Active release Technique(A.R.T.) provider. She has worked with Thriving Chiropractic since 2007. Her focus lies in correcting the root of the problem and helping her patients to live a healthy life style while preventing future injuries.

As a chiropractor, I incorporate my background in kinesiology, physiotherapy, personal training and chiropractic into individualized treatment plans.
