Jax Bax offers a research based approach to chiropractic care. Dr. Short is the only Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist, an upper cervical technique, in Florida that is also Advanced certified in Activator Methods. With a Master's degree in Sports Medicine, Dr. Short addresses soft tissue issues, providing several types of therapy, along with correction of bony misalignments for optimal results.
Dr. Short completed internship with Dr. Roy Sweat, founder, Atlas Orthogonal, in 2008. Atlas Orthogonal is a very specific upper cervical adjustment of the first bone in the neck. Xrays are necessary to correct the misalignment. Activator offers safe, gentle adjustments. It is ideal for children, elderly or anyone apprehensive about being adjusted.
Dr. Short schedules 15 minutes per patient, to ensure quality patient care in taking time to correct bony misalignments from the foot the the head and also addressing any associated soft tissue structures that may be involved with many therapies.
