We practice preventive medicine and strongly believe in the old Chinese saying that "the best physician is not the one who treats patients when they become ill, but the one who keeps patients from getting sick in the first place." We use not only traditional methods to diagnose the root causes of a patient's problem, but also the lastest tools in computerized testing and analysis.

My background also includes stress management, medical Qigong, meditation, nutrition, and exercise. I bring breadth and depth to my practice, offering comprehensive and integrative approaches to whole being wellness, treating a broad range of conditions. I also teach skills that enhance the healing process and inner resources for successful life management.

As an acupuncturist and herbalist, I completed four years of medical training and graduated with a Masters degree. Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites--commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. Nationally certified by NCCAOM and in Virginia, I bring over 25 years of experience in western and Chinese medicine. Having trained and practiced as a doctor at the prestigious Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I moved with my family to the U.S. and subsequently studied to be licensed as an R.N. I have worked at Fairfax INOVA Hospital for over 9 years. My mission is to augment the marvels of western medicine with the wisdom and skill of treating the whole body so that its systems and connections work optimally.

With more than 40 years experience, I would like to provide natural healing treatments to whoever needs help. For example, people who suffer chronic pains, need help for infertility, as well as those who seek for natural and safe treatments.
