He obtained his MD & Ph.D. in Neurology and Neurologic Science from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He was the director of the Acupuncture Dept. in China, a Research Fellow in the field of Herb and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School. He gained valuable experience at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he interned in the Labor & Delivery, Oncology, and Rehabilitation departments. At Lincoln Hospital, Alex worked exclusively at the Recovery Center with drug addicts fighting addiction and became NADA trained in the use of acupuncture in substance abuse.
