He received his M.D. from Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and Ph.D. in Pathology from Medical School of Tohoku University in Japan. He is board certified in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbology by the NCCAOM in the United States, and is a licensed Acupuncturist in Texas.

She received her Medical degree from Shanghai Second Medical University, one of best medical universities in China, Where she had been trained in both Western and Chinese medicine from 1979-1984. She then practiced as a medical doctor with experience of both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese medicine in a hospital in Shanghai China.
