"New office! My patients tell me that my unique gift is that I help them tap into their own healing power, and they really can sense my healing power during the treatment. The Chinese medicine I practice truly brings all the essential elements of a healthy life to my patients. I not only use acupuncture and herbs, but also instructions on diet and life style changes, calming techniques, exercises, self-massage, etc. I believe a comprehensive healing method applied by both practitioner and patient is mostly beneficial to heal the patient's particular condition, to improve his/her general well-being."

"Natural health care is recognized as the treatment of choice to correct imbalances and restore normal function in the body. Drugs which may be indicated for months are often prescribed for years, creating numerous side affects and adverse events. Patients deserve a healthier choice. This is why I chose to practice the way I do. I began studying nutrition counseling and functional medicine in the 1980's and later received my doctorate of naturopathic medicine degree from Bastyr University in 1994. I received a diploma in acupuncture in 2002 from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine."

"Good health is not just the absence of symptoms. It includes smooth and strong functioning in all aspects of life. I especially enjoy working with clients who understand that lifestyle can have a major impact on health. Together, we indentify where there is balance, and where it is lacking, and work together to develop new habits that support ongoing health and wellbeing. Though I do treat people in acute pain or illness, I'm especially well suited to treating individuals with chronic illness and those looking to increase the overall harmony of their lives."

The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. Other acupoint stimulation techniques include: manual massage, moxibustion or heat therapy, cupping, and the application of topical herbal medicines and linaments."

Acupuncture in 22205 - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. 22205 acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into the body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
