Stephanie's clinic has been voted BEST acupuncture in Highlands Ranch for 7 years in a row by the Highlands Ranch Herald! Stephanie believes that pain, illness and disease are signals from the body of an imbalance which requires correction. Acupuncture works by aiding the body in restoring its natural balance, without the use of drugs. The goal of treatment is to relieve pain and restore health as quickly as possible. Most patients experience significant improvements within the first three treatments. Stephanie has a gentle touch that needle-sensitive patients appreciate.

Acupuncture is your way to health and vitality. Through a compassionate approach I empower people to awaken their inner potential to heal, feel better, and participate in life again. Treatment rooted in theory that has been proven for thousands of years; acupuncture regulates the neuroendocrine system, increases blood flow, creates new tissue, activates the parasympathetic nervous system putting you in a healing state, elicits a chemical response in the brain, and helps your brain and body communicate efficiently. General benefits of receiving acupuncture are increased energy, better sleep, decreased stress, and relief from pain.

It is my goal to make sure you feel your best and stay that way. I treat each patient individually by taking into consideration their constitution, body type, age, what ails them at the time, and even the time of year. Using the ancient practice and philosophy of Chinese medicine and Massage therapy, I aim to treat the "root" of the problem, and not just the "branch," or the present symptom. In this way, the body can be treated and healed at a deeper level, fixing the core problem, and not just bandaging up superficial manifestations of the problem. My goal is to achieve balance so that optimum health and happiness is possible.

Healing begins inside you. A doctor is a therapist and also an educator. A patient is a student and also a self-healer. Healing is teamwork and is not dependent on only one party. Patients who have failed using other therapies, and now are interested in alternative medicine. However, Chinese medicine is never an alternative. It is an ancient medicine that views the human body and illness from a different perspective. You may have had experiences before where you are not able to solve a problem but you suddenly found your solution by looking at it from a different angle.

Acupuncture in Highlands Ranch - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Highlands Ranch acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into the body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
